Lately I've spent my days binge-watching iZombie, comtemplating whather or not I should buy an iMac, packing our things (moving out in less than two weeks!!!), taking walks with my camera, working up a sweat at work and eating painkillers like a champ.

I'm constantly sleepy, but I'm just a couple of months away from pstereo and a three week vacation.

It's all good.

I got my MRI results this week. My spinal cord looked fine, but I had swelling on the left side of my pelvis which is consistent with the pain I've been having. My chiropractor recommended that I get some blood work done so I have a doctor's appointment on Monday. She wanted me to ask if I could get a blood test to exclude rheumatism because it runs in my family... Fingers crossed that it's just an inflammation! (I'm quietly freaking out in the inside.) I hope I can get prescribed some medication to relieve the pain I've been having in both my pelvic area as well as my neck and shoulder.

Yesterday I was supposed to go to an exhibition at Fotofagskolen, but after two thirds of a beer I fell asleep on the sofa. Work has been exhausting lately due to the inflammations in my body. I am so tired of being in pain. It's not only psychically exhausting it's also mentally exhausting.

The last days of May have been spent
  1. rolling around in the grass capturing moments with Pia
  2. laying on the sofa binge-watching iZombie on Netflix
  3. debating whether or not my new earrings make me look like a pirate or not
  4. buying pieces of clothing that make me pretty sure that I'm turning 13 and not 30 this year
  5. telling myself that it has gone to far when your pants start to unzip themselves
  6. putting my body through hell by going jogging for the first time in forever
  7. trying a new skin routine from Dermalogica that was recommended to me
  8. trying to comprehend that a man asked me if we had bikinis for men and the only thing I could think of was Borat even though he probably meant a speedo (which in my opinion isn't really that flattering either)
  9. looking into buying furniture for a make-up station in our new apartment
  10. re-warping my Instagram to be more like my portfolio

I ran into this gorgeous lady when I was in Trondheim today. Turns out Sonja is getting married in July and I'm pretty sure she's going to be one of the most beautiful brides ever. I couldn't be happier for her!

The main reason I went to town today was because I had an appointment for an MRI of my hips/pelvis and lower back. For years I've had a slightly uncomfortable pain in these areas and when I lay down in a hard surface (e.g the floor) my lower back seems to "seize up" and it's hard to get up. A month and a half ago I started to see physiotherapist and she recommended an MRI. She thinks it might be Sacroiliac Joint Dysfunction, but we can't be sure until we get the results in a couple of weeks. I'm also struggling with an inflammation in my right shoulder that just WON'T. LET. GO. It's super frustrating when your body doesn't want to cooperate with you.

I'm hoping I can get my ass back at the gym next week and at least get some cardio done. Dealing with all of this is just depressing. At least the sun is shining and it's friggin' Saturday! Hope you guys have a nice weekend.

Lena Katrin

Growing up I sat in my room and wrote short-stories with a vivid imagination. My biggest dream was to become an author. Around the age of sixteen, I discovered my love for photography. I used my photography and self-portraits as a medium to express the feelings I couldn't talk about; just as I had done through my writing. My name is Lena Katrin. I am a visual merchandiser and photographer. I am artistic, creative, sensitive, easy-going, quirky and caring. And this, my friend, is where you can read the tales of a crazy cat lady armed with a camera.
